A little bit about our process …
At Black Diamond Tattoo, our artists are devoted to developing their preferred and practiced art styles. This allows them to produce high-quality and consistent tattoos that go above and beyond client expectations.

Because our artists have the freedom to self-manage, they are sometimes selective in the work they undertake depending on their current availability.

Step 1
Once you’ve decided to get a tattoo, the first thing to do is submit your Consultation Request Form. You can select an artist whose style you like, or we can connect you with the most suitable/next available artist.

Our studio assistant endeavours to respond to enquiries within 3 business days. Please follow up if you have not had a response within that timeframe.

Step 2
Once your Consultation Request Form has been submitted, our studio assistant will review it, make sure that we have all the information we need from you, and then direct your enquiry to an artist. We might ask for more information like reference pictures or details about your availability.

All communications are via email (or sometimes Direct Message) to ensure a paper-trail for you and your artist.

Step 3
Your artist will reach out to you via email. Keep an eye on your junk/spam folders because first-time emails often get flagged as spam!

Your artist might offer you a tattoo booking right away or you may need to do a consultation first. If your design is straightforward or is a flash piece pre-drawn by an artist, your artist may be happy to go straight to booking the tattoo. If you’re looking for a custom tattoo incorporating multiple elements, a consultation is usually necessary.

If a consultation is required, your artist will ask you to come into the studio to chat face-to-face about your desired tattoo outcomes. After the consultation, if you are satisfied that you’ve found the right artist for your needs, you can confirm a date for your tattoo.

Consultations are free of charge, but it is standard practice for your artist to request a deposit (of between $50-$200) to secure your appointment. Please see our deposit and cancellation policy for further information.

Step 4
Once your booking is secured via your deposit, all that’s left to do is wait!

We do understand that life happens. If anything happens between booking your appointment and the appointment date please reach out to the studio or your artist and we’ll chat about your circumstances to ensure the best outcome for you and your artist.
